Visiting Lecturer London South Bank University (2016 to present day)
In 2016 Adam Digby (Specialist Consultant for Mental Health & Managing Director ANJ Consultancy) was recruited as a Visiting Lecturer at London South Bank University, School of Health and Social Care, Department of Mental Health and Learning Disabilities. This position sees Adam providing teaching to pre and post registration mental health nurses, in specific subjects related to mental health and mental health nursing. To date, these subjects have included; Advanced Therapeutic Interventions and Skills (Dialectical Behavioural Therapy, and Mindful Practitioner) and Solution Focused Brief Therapy.
World Scout Moot 2017 - UK Contingent: Adolescent Emotional Wellbeing Project
We are proud to have provided training to the UK Contingent Management Team for the World Scout Moot 2017. The need for training was identified in preparation for annual scout Moot taking place in Iceland. The project was proposed as a three stage approach including Self Harm Support Training for the contingent management team, Emotional Wellbeing Training to the young people during a weekend preparation camp, and then ongoing support as required to supervising staff members and organisers in the run up and during the event. All training provided within this project has been well received, useful, and with excellent feedback.
The Sea Cadets: Self Harm Support Training (2016)
We are proud to have provided training to the Sea Cadets in 2016, to support the instructors who are working with cadets struggling with self harm and emotional difficulties. The project was a two hour training session and a drop-in clinic available across the day, to allow instructors to have consultation on past experiences and to gain advice around present issues.
Camden Council: Support Counselling (2014)
This was a short piece of work commissioned to provide counselling support to staff during an internal restructure and to assist in coming to terms with inter-departmental change.
Summer Care: Person Centred Care Training (2013)
Summercare is an award winning care company based in Southend, Essex, providing supported living services to some of societies most vulnerable people. The half day training session was commissioned to provide understanding and support to care home workers on how to manage person centred care and to help implement person centred thinking within their day to day practice.
Consultation Services (2012)
NewPaths was a charity set up to support male victims of domestic violence, living within the Southend-on-Sea area of Essex. This collaboration saw regular consultations with the charity and support with policy development around subjects such as risk management and safeguarding.
